In recognition of April being Sexual Assault Awareness Month, WOAR - Philadelphia Center Against Sexual Violence is hosting its 3rd Annual Hands Around City Hall sponsored by the Philadelphia Commission for Women.
This will be an event to help dispel many of the myths about sexual assault and to raise awareness on the prevalence of sexual violence.
Help us to form a human chain of people around City Hall; joining hands in a moment of silence as we honor the many people who have experienced sexual assault while surrounding the place where policies are put into place to protect survivors of sexual violence. This is something that is fresh and innovative and we are looking forward to you joining us.
Hands Around City Hall will be held on Friday, April 26th from 12pm to 1pm in Philadelphia City Hall courtyard.
Registration begins promptly at 11:15 am followed by WAVE Empowerment Defense provided by Women In Transition interactive activities, information and literature on sexual violence, guest and survivor speakers and more.
