The opening ceremony, which will feature North and South Korean athletes marching together, starts at 8 PM Eastern that night.
At 5 PM, earlier that night, you are welcome to join us in standing for peace at Philadelphia's City Hall, on the West Side.
Co-sponsors for the Philadelphia Candlelight Vigil for the Olympic Truce include: Brandywine Peace Community; CFPA Pennsylvania, and SJU Students Chapter; The Germantown Friends Meeting; Granny Philadelphia Peace Brigade; Philadelphia Committee for Peace and Justice in Asia; Physicians for Social Responsibility; the Shalom Center; and UN Association of Greater Philadelphia.
Feel free to make signs, calling for Diplomacy, Not War, in Korea.
