Want to build a union in your workplace, but not sure where to start? This two-day training is for you.
Through participatory activities, attendees will gain an understanding of the stages of an organizing campaign and gain mastery of foundational organizing skills– from starting out as one worker in a shop who is ready to organize, to building an organizing committee through one-on-one meetings, developing a campaign strategy, and taking action. The workshop will be led by worker-organizers with years of experience in shopfloor organizing in fast food, education, and other sectors.
9-5pm Saturday and Sunday.
A light breakfast, lunch, plenty of coffee, and a participant manual will be provided.
Off-site childcare is available. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your request.
Attendance will be capped at 25 people. Attendees must pre-register at the ticket link above.
Stipends will be available for members of Philly Socialists to cover the registration fees.
Organized by Strikecorps, a collective of labor activists providing resources for a renewed workers movement. Cosponsored by Philly Socialists.
