Over the past few weeks the Sunrise Philadelphia Hub has been collecting letters addressed to Mayor Kenney from across the city.
On the 16th, we will be delivering these letters to Kenney, asking him to:
1. Stop SEPTA's Natural Gas Plant from being built in the residential neighborhood of Nicetown, Philadelphia
2. Sign the #NoFossilFuelMoney Pledge and show his constituents that he stands with them and not fossil fuel billionaires
If you have a letter you would like to give to Mayor Kenney but you are not able to attend this event, write your letter at home and send a picture to camille@sunrisemovement.org
After this event, join 350 Philadelphia, Neighbors Against the Gas Plants, and The Center for Returning Citizens - TCRC as they continue appealing the air permit for the polluting gas-fired plant that SEPTA is building in Nicetown.
