Lane Murdock and other students affected by the gun violence in Florida are organizing a national school walkout on the 19th anniversary of the Columbine shooting to protest Congress's inaction to enact gun control policy that addresses the level of gun violence in the US. If you care about gun violence in America, take the time to educate people around you about gun violence, call your representatives, and reflect on the thousands of lives taken in the US due to gun violence every year. Whether it is through mass shooting, suicide, or homicide, we need to take a stand against the levels of gun violence that we see and ignore all around us.
Also there is Change.org petition that they are attempting to get signatures on to bring more attention to the issue. Make sure to sign the petition, but don't stop there! Call your congressmen and women, send letters, and don't let this continue.
